Convex Mirrors

A road safety convex mirror is a specialized, fish-eye visual aid with an outward-curving reflective surface designed to eliminate traffic blind spots. By bulging toward the light source, it diverges light rays to create a virtual, upright, and scaled-down (diminished) image, allowing drivers to see around physical obstructions.
Key Characteristics
    • Wide Field of View: The outward curvature provides a broad, panoramic viewing angle—typically between 130 to 180 degrees.
    • Image Compression: It condenses a large geographic area into a small screen, making distant or hidden vehicles visible at a glance.
    • High-Visibility Housing: Most road mirrors feature an eye-catching orange or red protective backboard, often outfitted with a built-in sun shade or rain visor.
    • Industrial Durability: Lenses are primarily engineered from impact-resistant materials like Polycarbonate or acrylic, which are shatterproof, weather-resistant, and 200 times stronger than traditional glass.

Common Applications
  • Blind Corners & Sharp Curves: Installed at hidden T-junctions or hairpin turns so oncoming traffic can see around the bend.
  • Driveway Exits: Positioned opposite narrow alleyways or property gates to safely monitor fast-moving street traffic.
  • Parking Garages & Ramps: Used extensively in tight indoor multi-level car parks to prevent head-on collisions.
  • Commercial Loading Bays: Placed around warehouses, factories, and industrial facilities with heavy forklift and delivery truck movement
